DODGE CITY, Kan. - After dropping their season opener a week ago at Highland, the No. 8-ranked Dodge City Community College football team will look to bounce back in their home opener when they square off against the Iowa Central Tritons in a 12 p.m. kickoff at Memorial Stadium in Dodge City on Saturday, September 3rd.
Saturday will mark only the third time that Iowa Central and Dodge City Community College will meet each other on the gridiron with the series being deadlocked at one game each. In the first-meeting all-time against each other in 2014, the Tritons earned a 31-21 victory before the Conquistadors flipped the script with a 27-7 win last season. Head coach
Gary Thomas has won four of the five meetings his teams have played against Iowa Central, as Thomas won both games that he coached against the Tritons when he was the head coach at the College of DuPage.
