Football Enters the NJCAA DI Rankings for First Time This Season

September 29, 2026

After hanging out just outside of the top 15 rankings for multiple weeks this season in the receiving votes category, the Dodge City football team is ranked for the first time during the 2026 season, jumping into the poll at #13.

The rankings mark the Conqs' return to the poll for the first time since the end of the 2024 season. The Conqs are 3-2 on the year and 2-0 in KJCCC play, having picked up two wins over ranked opponents and going 3-0 at home.

Two other KJCCC schools join the Conqs in the rankings as Hutchinson is #1 and Butler ranks #15, while two other schools in an alliance with the KJCCC are ranked in Iowa Western and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M each ranking #3 and #5, respectively.

The Conqs have the third-highest scoring offense in the KJCCC, averaging 25.4 points per game, and they also rank third in the KJCCC in total yards per game, averaging 344.8. The rushing attack has helped lead the way for the Conqs, averaging just under 200 yards per game at 190, ranking second in the KJCCC.

Defensively, the Conqs have consistently made plays this season, holding teams to 291.4 yards per game and ranking second in the KJCCC. The Conqs have forced eight turnovers and recorded nine sacks, while scoring a pair of defensive touchdowns.

The Conqs are set for their fourth game this season against a ranked opponent as they travel to Miami, Oklahoma, to take on #5 NEO.
