Dodge City Community College Athletics

Athletic Training Facility

Dodge City Community College Athletics has two athletic training rooms to serve our athletes.  The main athletic training room is located in the physical education building and is utilized by all athletes.  A second athletic training room is located in the Student Activity Center (aka, “The Dome”) and primarily services the men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball teams.  DC3 Athletics employs three full-time certified and licensed athletic trainers with more than 50 combined years of experience in athletic training, physical therapy, and performance enhancement.  Our AT’s specialize in the prevention, recognition, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries as well as nutritional counseling, movement enhancement, and strength and conditioning.  DC3 athletes will have access to a variety of state-of-the-art therapeutic modalities such as cryo and thermal therapy, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, laser/infrared, whirlpools, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise.

A vast network of area physicians who specialize in a number of areas is also available to our athletes in the event it is needed.  A general practice physician, orthopedic surgeon, chiropractic physician, and physical therapist regularly evaluate and treat DC3 athletes.
