Dodge City Community College Athletics

Student Activity Center ("The Dome")

Opened in 2016 the Student Activity Center or also know as "The Dome" is the home of Dodge City Conquistador women's and men's basketball and volleyball. The monolithic dome is located on campus and features the home court for Conquistador basketball and volleyball, along with locker rooms, athletic training room, offices, walking track, concession stand, ticket office and has bleachers in the gym providing seating for up to 1,500 spectators. In recognition of the Greg and Linda Goff and their generous gift in support of the Student Activity Center the court was named the Goff-Burke Family court (Dec. 5, 2018) in recognition of not only Greg and Linda Goff but also Don and Norma Goff, Richard Burke, and Larry Burke who all have impacted Dodge City Community College. Renamed the Skinner Student Activity Center in 2025 after a generous donation to the college from the Skinner family.

Construction on the Student Activity Center started in 2014 and was completed in September 2016. The dome has a diameter of 170 feet, giving the structure 39,220 square feet of usable space. Building also doubles as FEMA-approved community shelter in event of a storm. In summer of 2023 the gym floor received a facelift.

The upper level features the Western State Bank Conq Lounge along with the Gibson's Pharmacy Wellness Track which is open to all College students, faculty, staff, and alumni while also being open to the public.
