- These two programs have faced each other just once since 2009 with Iowa Central defeating DC3 31-21 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa, last season.
 

PREVIOUS GAME

- The Conqs are coming off a 38-14 loss to No. 3 Butler on Saturday in El Dorado, Kan. DC3 fell behind 17-0 and committed three turnovers in the first quarter, and a blocked field goal returned by the Grizzlies for a touchdown in the second quarter made it 24-0. DC3 trailed 24-7 at the half despite outgaining Butler 197-121.
- Iowa Central rallied from a 12-0 deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat Highland 13-12 at home Saturday. The Tritons scored on touchdown passes from Corey Bertini to Tyce Sarver (40 yards) and Jalen Glass (eight yards) to come out with the victory.

- DC3 with a win Saturday can tie the second-most wins in a season for the program since 1985 with six. The Conqs won seven games in 2005.
- DC3 head coach Gary Thomas' 14 wins in his two-plus seasons has already surpassed the seven previous DC3 coaches' win totals during their time with the Conquistadors.

- Iowa Central's 13 points last week was the second-highest output for the Tritons this season. They scored 37 in an overtime victory over Independence on Sept. 5. Iowa Central is averaging 12.5 points per game.
- Iowa Central's 12 points allowed last week was a season-low as the Tritons are allowing 33.0 points per game.
- Iowa Central is 64th out of 67 teams in passing yards per game (87.0). It is 42nd in rushing at 141.5 yards per contest.
- As for DC3, it is 26th in passing (226.0) and 39th in rushing (151.9).
