Women's Golf Wins Region 6 & KJCCC Titles, While Qualifying for Nationals With Second Place Finish in District

Dodge City women's golf put together a strong outing at the NJCAA Region 6 and Plains District Championships, earning a trip to nationals with a second-place finish in the district, while winning the Region 6 and KJCCC titles both for the third straight year. 
 
The Conquistadors put together a team score of 671 (+103) over two rounds of action. In the first round, the Conqs shot a 341 and improved on day two by 11-strokes for a 330. 
 
Three Top 10 individual performances paced the Conqs at the tournament, led by the play of Heewon Pak, who finished second. Pak posted a score of 162 (+20) with rounds of 78 and 84. 
 
Zhana Navato grabbed third place just one stroke behind her teammate, finishing with a score of 163 (+21) after shooting rounds of 85 and 78. 
 
Molly Llyod joined Pak and Navato in the top 10 as she tied for sixth place with a 167 (+25), recording rounds of 86 and 81. 
 
Dorthea Evebo placed 19th with a 179 (+37), shooting a 92 and 87, while Tilly Jones placed 24th with a 192 (+50), posting rounds of 98 and 94. 
 
Up next, the Conqs make a trip to Moline, Illinois, to compete at the NJCAA Division I National Championship at Oakwood Country Club.
