Dodge City women's golf wrapped up the year competing at the NJCAA Division I National Championship for the third straight year, finishing 13th as a team in Coal Valley, Illinois this year competing at Oakwood Country Club.
The Conquistadors put together a four-round team score of 1,337 (+201) to finish 13th overall. The Conqs best team round score came to open the tournament with a 325 on day one, they followed with a 335, 335, and 342 to cap the tournament.
Leading the Conqs for the tournament was the play of
Heewon Pak, who finished tied for 32nd place with a score of 321. She opened the tournament with a 78, then followed with an 80 in the second round before shooting her best round of the tournament, a 74 on day three. Pak closed out the tournament with an 89 in round four.
Zhana Navato tied for 44th place behind a score of 331, posting rounds of 85, 81, 86, and 79, with her best round coming on the final day of competition. Just behind her was
Molly Lloyd, who tied for 46th place with a 332 score, shooting rounds of 80, 84, 84, and 84.
Tilly Jones placed tied for 67th place, finishing with a 353 score behind rounds of 82, 90, 91, and 90.
Both
Dorthea Evebo and
Claire Runyan also competed for the Conqs but did not have full four-round scores. Runyan played in the lineup for the Conqs on day one, shooting a 97, while Evebo finished the tournament, notching rounds of 91, 94, and 100 over the second, third, and fourth rounds.
The Conqs capped their season with a 13th-place finish at the NJCAA DI National Championship.
