After earning KJCCC Track and Field Athlete of the Week in the field events earlier this week sophomore,
Deven Bolton has picked up more honors being named NJCAA Track and Field Men's Outdoor Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Alex Francis Classic in the high jump.
Bolton is the fifth Conquistador athlete to earn national player/athlete of the week honors this year with the others coming from softball, men's basketball, and men's soccer (twice).
Bolton won the event with a leap of 2.08 meters (6'09.75"), winning the event with the best leap of his career. His performance also qualified him for the NJCAA Outdoor National Championships, which will take place on May 14th-15th in Hobbs, New Mexico.
Bolton and the Conquistadors will continue the track season on April 30th-May 2nd, competing at the NJCAA Region 6 Outdoor Championships hosted in Arkansas City, Kansas.
