The outdoor track and field season continued for Dodge City last week at the Alex Francis Classic in Hays, Kansas, and one performance by a Conquistador stood out above the rest, earning him recognition from the Jayhawk Conference.
Deven Bolton has been named the KJCCC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week in the field events after winning the high jump at the Alex Francis Classic.
Bolton won the event with a leap of 2.08 meters (6'09.75"), winning the event with the best leap of his career. His performance also qualified him for the NJCAA Outdoor National Championships, which will take place on May 14th-15th in Hobbs, New Mexico.
Bolton and the Conquistadors will continue the track season on April 30th-May 2nd, competing at the NJCAA Region 6 Outdoor Championships hosted in Arkansas City, Kansas.
