Dodge City women's golf opened conference action with the first of three KJCCC tournaments, and the Conquistadors were led by an individual tournament win as
Heewon Pak took first place at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City.
The Conqs as a team finished third with a two-round score of 680 (+104), posting rounds of 318 on day one and 362 on day battling the wind.
Pak paced the Conqs as she earned first place out of the 22 golfers in action from four different KJCCC schools. On day one, Pak tied for the lowest round of the tournament, posting a 75 (+3) and then shot an 83 (+11) on day two to finish with a score of 158 (+14), winning by three strokes.
Molly Lloyd matched Pak on day one with a 75 and then posted a 94 on day two for a score of 169 to tie for eighth.
Tilly Jones placed tenth with a 173, carding rounds of 82 and 91.
Dorthea Evebo recorded rounds of 83 and 96 to finish with a 179, tying for 13th place, while
Zhana Navato finished 16th with a 180 score behind rounds of 86 and 94.
Claire Runyan finished out the Conq performances with a 182 score with rounds of 87 and 95.
Conference play continues for the Conqs on their home course in Dodge City at Mariah Hills Golf Course on April 13th-14th with the Conquistador Classic.
