Dodge City cheer squad opened competition season, competing at the annual Region 6 Championships in Newton, Kansas, and came home as the Intermediate Small Coed Region 6 champions.
The Conquistadors competed as a squad at the intermediate small coed level and won the Region 6 title, while also competing as groups in other competitions on the day.
The all-girl group stunt competition saw the Conqs earn a first-place finish as the quartet of
Saylor Rhoden,
Navie Guerra, Mariah McKillop, and
Ava Pillay put together a strong performance for the Conqs.
The group of
Jon Blakeway,
Bailey Beveridge,
California Cedro, and
Lauren Hasenbalg partnered together to earn a first-place finish in the small coed group stunt.
The Cheer squad continues to work toward competition in Daytona Beach, Florida, for the annual NCA College National Championships scheduled for April 9th-10th. Leading up to the competition at NCA, the Conqs will showcase their talents at multiple shows, including one at home on Sunday, March 29th, at 7:00 pm.
