February 09, 2026

Dodge City women's basketball continues to hold a spot in the Top 10 in the NJCAA Division I national rankings but slips three spots to #6 in the poll.

The Conquistadors fell on the road to Colby last week 71-64, but bounced back with a dominating win over Coffeyville at home, 94-68, to move to 20-2 on the season.

The ranking marks a Top 10 ranking for the Conqs for 24-straight weeks, as the Conqs have been ranked in 54 of the last 55 polls. Two other KJCCC schools remain in the rankings alongside the Conqs as Butler moved to #2 and Hutchinson checked in at #19.

Offensively, the Conqs continue to lead the KJCCC, averaging 77.9 points per game on 45.6% shooting, marks that rank 20th and 10th in the NJCAA. The three-point basket continues to be a strong piece of the Conqs arsenal with 268 made on the season, averaging 12.2 made per game on 33.7 three-point attempts per game, all numbers that lead the NJCAA. As a team, the Conqs are shooting 36.1% from behind the arc, which is third in the NJCAA, and continue to share the ball well, averaging 20 assists per game (fifth in the NJCAA).

On the defensive side of the action, the Conqs are holding teams to 59.3 points per game on 36.2% shooting and only 26.9% from three-point range. Conqs are forcing opponents into 18.5 turnovers per game.

Seven games remain in the regular season, with action continuing on Wednesday, February 11th, on the road against #19 Hutchinson at 5:30 pm, and then the Conqs are back home on Saturday, February 14th, at 1:00 pm versus Pratt.
