Dodge City men's soccer is off to a strong start in its second season under Head Coach
Juan Espinal, as the Conquistadors are 4-0-2 on the season and 1-0-1 in KJCCC action.
Their strong start to the year has earned the team some national attention as the Conqs have jumped into the NJCAA Division I national rankings at #17 in the latest Top 20 rankings. The ranking marks the first ranking for the program in nearly three years, with the last time the Conqs were ranked being September 26th, 2022.
Conqs opened the season with a 10-1 dominate victory over Lamar at home and then hit the road picking up a 1-0 win over Northern Oklahoma-Enid and tied Northeastern 1-1. Conqs also picked up a 2-1 win over Western Texas and then, in KJCCC action, tied Coffeyville on the road 2-2 and beat Garden City 4-3.
Eleven matches remain on the schedule for the Conqs, with three non-conference matches and eight conference contests. The Conqs still have some matchups against top teams, including two matchups with #6 Barton and two with #4 Cowley, along with a match against #5 Indian Hills and #1 Iowa Western.
Conqs have a week off and will be back on the pitch on Sunday, September 21st, at home against #6 Barton.
