Dodge City men's cross country was back at it, racing in an 8K race in North Newton, Kansas, as Bethel College hosted the Muthama-Rogers Invitational. 
 
The Conquistadors finished sixth as a team in a field that featured four NJCAA schools, multiple NAIA schools, and a pair of NCAA Division II schools. A total of 12 teams scored at the meet. 
 
Josue Vega continued his strong cross country season as he recorded another Top 10 individual finish placing eighth out of 132 total runners recording a time of 26:47.73. 
 
Rafael Zaballa del Hoyo grabbed a 20th-place finish, racing to a time of 27:55.52, while Oscar Leal Jr. had the third-best time for the Conqs, finishing 36th with a time of 28:47.98. 
 
Three more Conqs finished in the Top 55 overall as Juan Gomez-Lira, Eddie Carmona Ortiz, and Eddie Salinas Millan finished 49th (29:33.55), 53rd (29:43.87), and 54th (29:45.77), respectively. 
 
Juan Badillo placed 60th (30:07.47), Jose Chavez Ramirez earned a 62nd place (30:08.79), and Elijah Kisner raced to a 70th place (30:25.31) finish to cap the Conq performances. 
 
The Conqs are now off for the next few weeks from competition, but are set to compete at the Neosho County CC Invite in Chanute, Kansas, on Friday, October 3rd.
