Dodge City women's basketball enters the holiday break ranked #1 in the NJCAA Division I and remains unbeaten 12-0 on the season.
The Conquistadors picked up wins over #18 Hutchinson and Pratt last week, and the performance of
Manuela Piljevic stood out for the Conqs as she recorded double-doubles in both games and earned KJCCC DI "Player of the Week."
She opened the week with her first career double-double in a big win over #18 Hutchinson as she tallied 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Piljevic was 6-14 shooting, adding four assists on the night. She followed that performance up with 13 points and 12 rebounds in a road win over Pratt, while adding two assists, one steal, and two blocks.
On the season, Piljevic leads the Conqs with 13.4 points per game on 48.4% shooting and 38.9% from three-point range. She adds 6.7 rebounds per game, which leads the team, while adding 3.3 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
The Conqs are off to a strong start to the season and are 12-0 entering the holiday break and will return to action on Saturday, January 3rd, when they host Fort Hays Tech Northwest.
