Dodge City volleyball rolls into postseason play off a strong finish to the regular season, winning the final four matches to earn a home playoff match against Garden City on Wednesday, November 5th, at 6:30pm.
The Conquistadors picked up a four-set win at Hutchinson and a straight-set sweep of Seward County last week to cap the regular season, and the play of
Chelsea Durbridge continued to help lead the charge for the Conqs, earning her KJCCC DI Setter of the Week honors.
Durbridge has continually filled the stat sheet all season for the Conqs, and last week was no different as she had 40 assists, 12 digs, four kills, an ace, and two block assists in the road win over Hutchinson. She followed that up in the regular season finale against Seward County with 31 assists, three kills, eight digs, and five block assists.
On the season, Durbridge has tallied 935 assists along with 69 kills, 189 digs, 77 blocks, and 29 aces. She ranks second in the KJCCC with 9.35 assists per set and in total assists, while ranking 11th in total blocks. She ranks seventh in the NJCAA in total assists and sixth in assists per set.
The Conqs look to put together a postseason run as they open the playoffs at home on Wednesday, November 5th, for a first-round matchup with Garden City at 6:30pm.
