Dodge City men's cross country was back in action, competing at the Neosho County CC Invite, earning a second-place team finish out of six teams despite having a few runners out of competition.
Rafael Zaballa del Hoyo led the charge for the Conquistadors as he finished sixth with a time of 28:02.4.
Juan Gomez-Lira had a strong outing, posting a time of 29:16.0 to earn an 11th-place finish, while three more Conqs grabbed Top 20 finishes.
Jose Chavez Ramirez raced to a 15th-place finish with a time of 29:41.0, while
Eddie Salinas Millan placed 16th behind a time of 29:45.5, and
Anthony Godfrey finished 19th, posting a time of 30:14.6.
Elijah Kisner recorded a time of 30:57.3 to earn a 22nd-place finish, while
Dash Garton finished 38th with a time of 32:26.3.
The Conqs will have one final race before the NJCAA Region 6 Championships, which will take place in Colby on October 24th. They will travel to Hays, Kansas, on Saturday, October 11th, to compete at the Fort Hays State Invite.
