Dodge City men's soccer has had strong performances across the board during the season from the goalkeeper group, and last week was no different.
The Conquistadors picked up another big win over another top-ranked team last week, beating #9 Indian Hills 2-1 to move to 8-2-3 on the season.
Rensho Ishikawa was in goal for the Conqs, and his performance has earned him NJCAA Division I Goalkeeper of the Week after being named KJCCC DI Goalkeeper of the Week. He joins his teammate
Geovanni De Luna in earning national honors, as he was named NJCAA DI Goalkeeper of the Week earlier this season.
Ishikawa played all 90 minutes against the Warriors, recording five saves while conceding only one goal, recording an 83.3% save percentage.
This season, Ishikawa has played in four games, starting all four, with a record of 3-0-1. He has 21 saves with an 80.8% save percentage in his four appearances.
Conqs continue the season with a matchup against #8 Barton on Wednesday, October 15th at 1:00 pm on the road.
