Dodge City men's cross country was back in action in the final race of the regular season before competing at the NJCAA Region 6 Championship in Colby on Friday, October 24th. 
 
The Conquistadors traveled to Hays, Kansas, to compete at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open on Saturday morning, and the men finished 12th as a team. 
 
Leading the charge for the Conqs was Josue Vega, who posted a time of 25:02.6 to finish 27th overall out of 144 runners and was the 13th fastest NJCAA runner at the meet. 
 
Rafael Zaballa del Hoyo claimed 88th place, posting a time of 27:09.7, while Eddie Carmona Ortiz was not far behind him for the third fastest Conq time at the meet, posting a time of 27:25.3 to place 93rd.
 
Juan Gomez-Lira raced to a time of 28:07.7, finishing 107th. Eddie Salinas Millan placed 110th with a time of 28:25.8, Jose Chavez Ramirez finished 121st, behind a time of 29:33.2, Elijah Kisner placed 124th with a time of 29:57.8. Anthony Godfrey finished out the Conq performances posting a time of 30:15.8 to place 126th. 
 
The Conqs will compete at the NJCAA Region 6 Championship in Colby, Kansas, on Friday, October 24th, as Colby Community College is set to host.
