Dodge City women's cross country traveled to Joplin, Missouri to continue the season competing in their third meet of the season and competed against a field that included four-year schools from the NCAA Division I and II levels, along with NAIA schools at the Missouri Southern Stampede.
The Conquistadors would finish eighth overall out of 18 schools that had a full team while 27 schools/programs were represented at the meet.
Four Conqs finished in the Top 50 out of 180+ runners at the event with the four that recorded Top 50 finishes all finishing close to each other.
Ivy Washington led the Conqs with a time of 20:00.42 to place 41st, while
Daniela Cerda recorded a time of 20:01.69 to finish 43rd and
Ava Washington was right behind her in 44th place with a time of 20:01.91.
Sarai Chavez was not far behind as she finished 47th with a time of 20:07.03.
Teressa Martinez posted a time of 22:22.19 for the Conqs and
Zoe Matthews finished out the Conq performances posting a time of 23:58.23.
The Conqs will return to action on Friday, October 4th as they travel to Chanute, Kansas to compete at the Neosho County CC Invite.
