Dodge City women's cross country wrapped up the regular season racing at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open in Hays, Kansas, on Saturday and finished ninth as a team, as they now look towards the NJCAA Region 6 Championships on October 24th.
The Conquistadors were led by
Daniela Cerda, who was the lone Conq to post a sub-20-minute time, finishing with a time of 19:40.5 to place 48th out of 103 runners.
Denae Arellano had the second fastest time for the Conqs on the day as she posted a time of 20:06.9 to place 58th. A 67th-place finish was earned by
Sarai Rodriguez as she ran to a time of 20:40.1, while
Rofina Pablo posted a time of 21:35.75 to place 81st.
Jennifer Lamas and
Kristina Bates finished 84th and 85th, respectively, with times of 21:48.5 and 22:00.1, while
Karen Vargas Alvarez finished 88th with a time of 22:28.34.
LeiAnn Maize and
Karina Avalos Martinez rounded out the Conq performances, placing 90th and 91st with times of 22:58.9 and 23:26.6.
The Conqs will compete at the NJCAA Region 6 Championship in Colby, Kansas, on Friday, October 24th, as Colby Community College is set to host.
