After a week off from the first competition the Dodge City women's cross country team was back in action competing at the Fort Hays State Invite in Hays and the Conquistadors earned a third-place team finish.
Pacing the Conqs were the Washington twins as
Ivy Washington finished 11th behind a time of 19:34.3, while
Ava Washington posted a time of 19:47.4 to earn a 15th-place finish.
Sarai Chavez had the third best time for the Conqs at the meet finishing 16th with a time of 20:00.8, while
Daniela Cerda placed 19th with a time of 20:38.5.
Abbi Worden raced to a 21st place finish recording a time of 20:52.1, while
Teressa Martinez posted a time of 22:12.8 to finish 28th.
Zoe Matthews and
Corina Lugo would also compete for the Conqs registering times of 22:48.5 and 29:55.9 on the day to finish 30th and 36th.
The season continues Friday, September 20th as the Conqs are back in action quickly traveling to Joplin, Missouri to compete at the Missouri Southern Stampede.
