Dodge City women's cross country grabbed a second-place finish at the Neosho County CC Invite in Chanute as the season continued.
The Conquistadors had a quartet of runners finish in the Top 10 on the day led by a fourth-place finish from
Sarai Chavez who posted a time of 19:55.6 to record a sub-20-minute performance.
Abbi Worden finished just behind her teammate in Chavez as she grabbed a fifth-place finish with a time of 20:50.0.
Daniela Cerda recorded a time of 21:01.8 to place seventh on the day, while
Teressa Martinez finished tenth behind a time of 21:58.4.
Debora Guevara-Borjon and
Corina Lugo were also in action for the Conqs finishing 21st and 30th, respectively with times of 23:53.3 and 29:37.6.
The Conqs are back to racing again next week as they travel to Emporia to compete at the Emporia State Invite on Friday, October 11th which will wrap up the regular season of action. Friday, October 25th will see the Conqs compete at the NJCAA Region 6 Championships in Arkansas City and then the NJCAA DI National Championships loom on November 9th.
