(Dodge City, Kansas) -- The Dodge City Community College Softball team has a pair of doubleheaders this week to try and forget about getting swept by Seward County Community College. First, they go to El Dorado to take on Butler Community College on Thursday. On Saturday, they will be back at Legends Park, taking on Colby Community College.
 
The Series
 
Vs. Butler Community College

• Butler has dominated this series in the recent past.
• The Grizzlies are currently on a 17-game winning streak over the Conqs. 

 
Vs. Colby Community College

• In 2015 the two teams split but since then it has been all Colby.
• In 2016 and 2018, the Trojans swept the series.
• Since splitting in 2015, Colby has won 11 of the past 12 matchups.

 
Warning Track

• Dodge City Community College is 9-5 to start the year.
• DC3 is 3-3 in Conference.
• The Conquistadors have been Jekyll and hide with a 7-1 record at home and a 3-3 record on the road.  
• The Conqs have had a good start to the season, offensively sitting in the top 10 in the Jayhawk in batting average, on-base percentage, and slugging percentage. 
• After the rough pitching performances recently the Conqs have slid from 2^ndto 7^thin team ERA.

Butler Community College

• Butler has started the year 7-3, this series will be their first conference games of the year.
• The Grizzlies get on base at a .417 clip, 5^thbest in the Jayhawk.
• Butlers' pitching has been dominant. They have given up 11 earned runs in their 10 games and walked just 18.
• They are #1 in the conference in K/7 with 6.71.
• They lead the conference in team ERA by over a run and a half, currently sitting at 1.19.
• They sport 3 of the top 5 pitchers in the conference in ERA.
• Kaylee Burnett is #1 with a mark of .62, Megan Johnson isn't far behind at .65, and Olivia DePew rounds out the top 5, sitting at 2.15.

 
Colby Community College

• They are 14-8 overall, and 4-2 in conference
• After a 9-game winning streak, they have now lost 3 in a row. 
• Colby is 7^th, 7^th, and 6^thin BA, OBP, and SLG.
• They are 2^ndbest in the conference with a 2.95 ERA.
• Jayda Shaw has had a good start, hitting .436 with 21 RBI's
• Mahealani Haegele is an ace. She has 8 wins and a 1.44 ERA.
