(Dodge City, KS.) -- The Dodge City Community College Baseball team goes into their second week of the season with a very busy weekend. They will play 4 games in 3 days this weekend as they are Scheduled for a 3:00 game Friday against Eastern New Mexico University JV. They also have a 2:00 game Saturday, and a 12:00, and 2:00 double-header Sunday in Canyon, Texas against non-conference foe Luna Community College.

The Series

Vs. Eastern New Mexico University JV
 

• Since 2014 they have played just 3 times, but Dodge City has won all 3 of the matchups.  
• Last year in the Dodge City 16-7 victory, the Conqs were able to explode for a 9 run 3^rd inning, led by current sophomore Garrett McGowan.

Vs. Luna Community College
 

• Last year was the first time these two teams met in recent history.
• Dodge City swept the doubleheader by winning 18-7, and 10-8.
• Blake Rast and Garrett McGowan were key contributors in the sweep last year.

The Warning Track
 

• Dodge City Community College has started the season 1-2.
• They played three against Frank Phillips College last weekend and were only able to take the last game of the series.
• There were several errors, wild pitches, and unearned runs allowed that made it tough for DC3 to take more than 1.
• They lost the first game 8-2 after a big 7^th inning from Frank Phillips, the second game was back and forth but ultimately the Conqs fell 5-4 before they were finally able to break through with the 8-7 victory in the final game of the series. 
• Ryan Dos Santons, Cameron Fritz, and Spencer Marcus all hit .400+ in the opening weekend, meanwhile, Blake Rast knocked in 3 RBI's.

Luna Community College
 

• They have started out the season 3-8.
• Luna has lost 4 straight games.
• They have struggled with the bats to start the season, batting just .217 and a below average on-base percentage of .343.
• Manny Kachora and Dustin Sipe have had great starts to the year. Kachora is hitting .351, with an OBP of .429.  He also has 9 RBI's. Sipe has 8 RBI's to go along with a .316 batting average.
• From a pitching standpoint, Kyler Duggins has been dominant. In his 3 starts, he has allowed just 5 hits, and 1 earned run. He has an ERA of 0.69 and a WHIP of 1.23.
