Box Score The Dodge City Volleyball team knew they had a tough task ahead of them as they hosted a Colby team that is currently in second place in the conference standings. The Conqs put up a fight in the first set as they got to 20 points, but in the end the Trojans were just too much for the Conqs winning by scores of 25-20, 25-19, and 25-16.

The statistical line told the story on the night as the Conqs just had too many mistakes to overcome a very talented Trojan squad. Dodge only hit .049 as a team on the night and totaled 19 attack errors to go with 9 service errors on the night. Destiny Velasquez was a bright spot for the Conqs as she registered 4 kills while hitting .222 on the night. She also tallied three solo blocks and two block assists. Gabby Valdez once again led the way with 21 assists on the night and Madi Spencer had three digs to lead the team.

The loss drops the Conqs to 1-8 in conference play and 4-17 overall. They will be back in action at home when they take on Barton Community College on Monday October 1 at 6:30pm.
