Volleyball Jumps Six Spots to #8 in Latest NJCAA DI Rankings

Dodge City volleyball climbed to the highest ranking of the season, returning to the top 10 in the latest NJCAA Division I rankings at #8, up six spots this week. This marks the highest ranking at the NJCAA DI level in Conqs program history. 
 
The Conquistadors are 18-5 this season and 7-1 in the Jayhawk Conference, sitting atop the conference standings. Conqs have won three in a row and nine of the last 10 matches. 
 
Three other KJCCC schools are ranked in the NJCAA DI top 20 alongside the Conqs: Colby at #11, Barton at #18, and Hutchinson at #20.
 
This season, the Conqs are averaging 10.93 kills per set on a .212 hitting percentage while averaging 10.19 assists per set. Defensively, the Conqs average 13.12 digs per set, while leading the KJCCC and ranking top five in the NJCAA DI in blocks, averaging 2.43 per set. The Conqs have 202 blocks, leading the KJCCC by 62, and they also lead the conference in aces with 179, leading the KJCCC by 28. 
 
Conqs focus is on conference play down the stretch, with the second half of conference play looming ahead. The Conqs will take on Butler, Pratt, Hutchinson, and Colby on the road and host Garden City, Barton, Seward County, and Cloud County for the remainder of the regular season. 
 
After a night off from competition, the Conqs travel to El Dorado to take on Butler on Saturday, October 3rd.
