Box Score 2 DODGE CITY, Kan. - Coming off two tough losses to Lamar on Friday, the Conquistadors were swept at home by Colby Community College on Saturday, by scores of 12-4 and 11-0 (6 innings).

The first inning was a problem again for the Conqs, as the Trojans were able to put up five runs and take an early 5-0 lead.
After Colby got two more in the top of the third, the Conqs got on the board with a sac-fly from
Brittany Kendall to score best from third base to make it 7-1.
After a leadoff double by Best in the bottom of the fifth,
Trina Rathgeber moved her to second with a sac-bunt.
Brooklyn Botts and Gonzalez then hit back-to-back doubles to score two runs. With two outs, McDaniel popped up on the infield, but the wind played a big factor and the ball dropped for a single to score one more run, making the score, 7-4.
The Trojans then added five runs in the top of the seventh, putting the game out of reach and giving Colby a game one win, 12-4.
In game two, Kendall got the start and threw 4.0 innings and allowed seven runs on eight hits, but only four of the seven runs were earned.
Jordyn McDaniel then entered the game and allowed four runs on four hits in 2.0 innings, but just like Kendall, just one of the four runs were earned.
A two-run home run got things started in the top of the first, giving the Trojans a 2-0 lead, and they never looked back. Colby was able to get one more in the third, four runs in the fourth and four more in the sixth to win the game 11-0 in six innings.
The Conqs are now 7-7 on the year and 2-2 in KJCCC play. They will be in action again on Tuesday as they travel to Butler Community College at 2 and 4 p.m.
