Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 DODGE CITY, Kan. - After getting run-ruled 10-0 in game one, the Conqs were in for a battle in game two, in a game that went 10 innings and saw the Mavericks coming out on top by a score of 6-5.

Natalie Segovia and Brittany Kendall pitched in game one, as Segovia threw 4.0 innings and allowed seven runs. Kendall entered for the final two innings and allowed the final three runs.

Northwest Tech got things going early, scoring one in the first, but the Conquistadors never seemed to find a rhythm offensively. The Mavericks then added two in the third and three more in the fourth to make it 6-0. After one more in the fifth, the Mavericks scored three more in the sixth to win game one, 10-0.

Jordyn McDaniel started game two and threw all 10 innings for the Conquistadors, allowing five runs on 11 hits and throwing 125 pitches.

Game two was a different story from Dodge City's side as the Conqs were able to score one run in each of the first four innings. The Mavericks were able to stay in the game in the top of the fourth with three runs.

After the Conqs took the lead back in the bottom of the fourth, Northwest Tech was able to tie it once more in the top of the sixth. After three scoreless innings, the game was sent to the 10th inning forcing the game into the international tie-breaker. 

The international tie-breaker comes into effect in the 10th inning a places the final out of the previous inning on second base to start the inning.

In the top of the tenth, the Mavericks were able to get two runs across and then held Dodge City to just one run in the bottom of the 10th as Northwest Tech won game two, 6-5.

Dodge City moves to 11-21 on the year and 4-10 in KJCCC play. They will not be in action again until April 4 as they travel to Colby Community College for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
