DC3 Hires Chris Hagan as Asst. Basketball Coach

DODGE CITY, Kan. - With basketball season just around the corner, Dodge City Community College has announced the hiring of assistant basketball coach Chris Hagan.

Hagan played basketball for two years at Rice University in Houston, Texas before finishing his career at Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas where he was an All-American.

After his college career, Hagan played professionally for a total five years overseas with stints in New Zealand, China and Canada. The Houston native then played for coach Steve Tucker who is currently the men's basketball head coach for the Conqs, before heading back overseas for one more year.

Hagan retired from his playing career in 2015.

"Chris is a winner and champion," head coach Steve Tucker said. "He was an integral part of both of our undefeated Pro Basketball National Championship teams with our Shreveport-Bossier Mavericks of the ABA. Chris is one of the toughest and greatest competitors I ever coached. His knowledge of our system and his passion for the game of basketball is why I wanted him here at DCCC with me. He is a great addition to our program, department and college."
