Box Score LIBERAL, Kan. - Just before the Conquistadors host the Dodge City Invitational, the Conqs fell to Seward County Community College in three sets by scores of 25-13, 25-10 and 25-16.

A tough day for the Conqs offensively saw Jaylen Pegues collect four kills and six digs on the day, while teammate Gabriella Valdez had nine assists. Alex Stecklein was also able to add seven digs and Raquel Valdz had three kills and two blocks.

"I think we came in a little intimidated tonight," head coach Kamri Nehls said. "We made too many unforced errors. We definitely improved in the last set and showed we could play with them. But we have to be tougher mentally and eliminate our mistakes."

The Conqs are now 8-6 on the year and look to rebound this weekend as they host the Dodge City Invitational. Dodge City will play at 1 p.m., and 7 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m., and 2 p.m. on Saturday.
