Box Score DODGE CITY, Kansas: Dodge City baseball will continue to the semifinals and championship game of the winner's bracket tomorrow at 4 p.m. after 7-5 win over #7 seeded Butler Community College.
The Conqs plastered 10 hits all day for the win, with
Leno Ramirez and
Josh Williams leading the pack with two hits on the day. Ramirez owned two RBIS and two runs after tabbing a solo homerun and double on the day. Williams went 203 with one walk, one RBI and two runs in the game.

Hayden Simmons tabbed two RBIs on a double to left field and
Johnny Balsamo,
Frankie Valle,
Ricky Trammell,
Jorden Fields and
Colbey Madewell each owned one hit on the day. Fields tabbed an RBI in the game as well.

In the first inning, the Conqs went down three runs before answering with two runs in the bottom frame. With one out, Valle singled up the middle to start things off.

Ramirez then doubled to left field and scored when Williams doubled to left center.Â

DC3 took the lead after nabbing two runs in the bottom of the third inning. Williams,
Jordan Doan and Trammell walked to load the bases with no outs. Simmons then reached on a fielder's choice, scoring Williams from third.

Then with two outs, Doan scored on a balk by the Butler pitcher to go up 4-3 over the Grizzlies to end the inning.

Butler evened things up in the top of the fourth, but DC3 was quick to regain the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning. Williams singled to right field to start things off and moved to second on a single through the right side by Trammell to score Williams.Â
Jorden Fields then singled up the middle to score Trammell.

A solo shot by Ramirez past the left field fence put the Conqs up 7-4 over the Grizzlies. BCC answered with a solo homerun of their own in the top of the next frame to close the gap to a two-run lead for the Conquistadors.

Andrew Riddell picks up the win, scattering three earned runs (five total) on six hits throughout 6.0 innings pitched and fanned four in the process.

Layne Downing picked up the save after striking out five and giving up only two hits in 3.0 innings on the day.

The Conqs advance to the NJCAA Region VI semifinal game and the winner's bracket championship game at 4 p.m. tomorrow, May 10 at Lawrence, Dumont Stadium.
