Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 CONCORDIA, Kansas:  Dodge City baseball tabbed 44 hits and 28 total runs to go 3-1 at Cloud County Community College over the weekend.

DC3 took both on the first day, defeating CCCC 8-1 and 5-2. 

In game one, DC3 scored one run in the first inning to own the lead they would keep all game.  They crossed six more in the third before Cloud garnered their first run in the bottom of the frame.  The Conqs topped off the game with another solo run in the fourth inning for the 8-1 victory.

Luke Crabb (3-0) earned the win after striking out seven and allowing one run on three hits.  Garrett Hammond came in to close, finishing up the last inning after allowing one hit to Cloud in his four batter's faced.

DC3 won the second game after putting up runs in the second, fourth, fifth, eighth and ninth innings.  They allowed Cloud two runs in the seventh, but kept the lead for the 5-2 win to close the day up on Cloud 2-0.

Andrew Riddell (3-1) garnered the win after fanning three and allowing two unearned runs on four hits in seven innings pitched.  Anthony Bowmaker garnered his third save of the season after sitting down one and allowing only two hits in 10 batters faced.

Day two started with a win going to the home team.  Dc3 posted one run in the first inning to go up, but Cloud countered with a run of their own in the fourth.  Both teams tallied one more in the sixth to head into the final seventh inning tied 2-2. 

In the top of the frame, Dodge City posted two to start the inning.  The Conqs were unable to hold Cloud in the bottom of the frame however, allowing them three runs for the 5-4 victory.

Russell Mithlo (4-0) earned the start, allowing two runs in 5.2 innings pitched while striking out five.  Matthew Perea and Austin Hammer closed up the game on the hill.  Perea fanned one and allowed one run after 0.2 innings and Hammer allowed two runs and three hits in the last 0.1 inning.

DC3 went up 4-1 in the first three innings of the fourth and final game, heading towards a victory.  Cloud posted two in the fourth before Dodge tabbed another run in the fifth.  The score stood 5-3 heading into the eighth inning.

Dodge scored two in the top of the eight and Cloud scored three in the bottom.  DC3 scored two more in the top of the ninth frame, but Cloud countered with three yet again to tie the score 9-9 and extend the game to extra innings.

Dodge eventually earned the win after crossing two more in the top of the 11^th frame for the 11-9 win.

Hammond (1-0) earned his first win after pitching the final 2.1 innings, fanning one and allowing no this or runs.  Layne Downing earned the start, allowing three runs on eight hits while striking out three in 5.2 solid innings pitched.

Perea and Adam Rutz pitched middle-relief with Perea sitting down one while allowing three runs on two hits and Rutz fanning one while allowing three runs on four hits.

Johnny Balsamo led the Conqs over the weekend with a .526 at the plate after tabbing 10-19 with a double, four runs and two RBIs at the plate.  He also had a stolen base on the weekend.

Josh Williams also commanded the batter's box after going 6-14 at the plate with two doubles, one homerun, two runs and four RBIs for the Conqs.  He also walked once and earned a .429 batting average over the weekend.
Jason Nichols also tabbed six hits and three RBIs for the Conqs.
