GOODWELL, Oklahoma:  DC3 baseball put quite a hurt on the JV Aggies of Oklahoma Panhandle State on Tuesday, collecting 33 hits for 35 runs in the two-game romp.

The first game took only six innings for DC3 to take the victory.  The Conqs put things in perspective in the third inning, collecting on four hits and one error to go up 4-0 early on.  Dodge City was far from done scoring, picking up six runs in the fourth, two in the fifth and a whopping nine in the sixth to put down the Aggies 21-0.

The DC3 coaching staff then brought in a pair of southpaws to close out the fourth and fifth.  Anthony Bowmaker started things off, allowing the Aggies two hits before shutting things down and keeping the opposition scoreless.  Matthew Perea showed two more Aggies the pine with two strikeouts in three batters of work.  Closing out the sixth inning and the game for the Conqs was Adam Rutz who struck out one.

DC3 scored in every inning to complete the 14-2 victory over OPSU.  The kicked off the first inning with three runs, starting with a single to center field by Balsamo.  Balsamo then stole second and was knocked around the bases on a single to left field by Jordan Doan.  As Doan reached third on a stolen base and throwing error by the home team's catcher, Ramirez picked up his first of eight RBIs in the game on a deep sacrifice fly.  Nichols then ripped one out past center field for the third run of the inning.

OPSU then picked up their first run of the day in the second on a sacrifice fly after collecting two hits in the bottom of the inning.

DC3 was far from ready to stop earning runs however, putting up five in the second, four in the third and one in each the fourth and fifth innings.
Jorden Fields started things off with a big triple through left center and scored on a single by Max Laney.  Ramirez picked up his next three RBIs in the top of the second on a triple to right center.  DC3 continued to score in the inning, owning seven hits for five runs.

In the top of the third inning, the Conqs loaded the bases and found Ramirez back at the plate.  He was up for the challenge and knocked a grand slam out past right field to give the Conqs four runs on two hits.

Balderaz picked up an RBI singled to left center in the fourth and DC3 picked up another run to close out the fifth on a fielding error by the shortstop on a hard-hit connection from Simmons that scored Trueblood from third.

In a last-bottom of the inning attempt to collect 13 or 14 runs by the Aggies, the home team sent another sacrifice fly out to centerfield that score one run.  The DC3 defense closed the door after that, sitting down the Aggies.

Ramirez was good for a 2-2 performance with eight RBIs.  His two hits were a triple and a grand slam.  Jordan Doan led the team with a 3-3 outing at the plate while owning one RBI and crossing the plate three times.

Balsamo and Josh Williams also owned two hits on the day while Andrew Balderaz, Nichols, Trueblood, Fields and Laney all collected one hit outings.
From the mound, DC3 was yet again more than effective with five right-handers holding down the defense.  Andrew Riddell started things off in the first inning, allowing two hits and one run after five batters.  Luke Crabb then allowed one hit in the second while sitting down two more.  Layne Downing kept the Aggies scoreless in the third after showing two more OPSU batters the bench and allowing no hits.
