For the second time during the track season Brayden Bergkamp has claimed a region title as he won the decathlon at the Region 6 Outdoor Championships. Bergkamp totaled 6.530 points to win the decathlon finishing fifth or better in all 10 events. He won the high jump (1.96 meters – 6'01.5"), while he took second in the 400-meter run (50.78), the 110-meter hurdles (15.17), and the javelin (50.27 meters – 164'11"). Bergkamp grabbed third place finishes in the discus (31.11 meters – 102'00") and the 1500-meter run (5:02.09), while posting fourth place finishes in the 100-meter dash (10.92) and shot put (10.31 meters – 33'10"), along with fifth place in the long jump (6.72 meters – 22'00.75") and pole vault (3.17 meters – 10'04.75"). He ranks third in the NJCAA in the decathlon. 

He also finished seventh in the javelin (50.27m – 164’11”) and took eighth in the high jump (1.87m – 6’10.5”).
