Heading into year three under head coach Juan Espinal, the Dodge City men's soccer program is gaining national attention as the 2026 season begins. The Conquistadors in 2025 posted a 9-5-3 record to finish third in the KJCCC and achieved the program's highest ranking in school history last season (#11); now they will open the 2026 season ranked #14 in the preseason NJCAA Division I Top 20 rankings.
Last season under Coach Espinal, the Conqs posted a four-win improvement over his first season leading the Conqs, finishing third in the KJCCC and claiming a pair of Top 10 wins over Indian Hills and Barton.
The 2026 season sees the Conqs with a strong roster of 30, with depth all-around, including 12 returners from last fall. Seven of the 12 returning players that will suit up for year two for the Conqs played in 13 or more games.
Conqs open the 2026 season with a slate of six non-conference games before jumping into KJCCC action. The season opens on Friday, August 21
st at 5:00 pm at home against Northeastern, while the Conqs will then take on #1 Indian Hills on Monday, August 24
th at 1:00 pm. Conference play opens on Saturday, September 12
th against Coffeyville at 1:00 pm. The schedule will feature six matches against preseason Top 10-ranked teams, including #1 Indian Hills and #6 Iowa Western, along with two conference games each against #3 Cowley and #7 Barton.
