Men's Golf Swing the Spring Season Into Motion at Oakwood Intercollegiate

Dodge City men's golf hosted a stacked group of NJCAA teams along with several NAIA programs for the Oakwood Intercollegiate in Enid, Oklahoma, to open the spring season. 

The Conquistadors posted a 13th-place finish overall with a three-round team score of 923 (+71), finishing less than 10-strokes off a Top 10 team finish. 

Leading the performances for the Conqs was the play of Drew Heinz, who posted a score of 222 (+9) to tie for 25th place out of 106 golfers. He posted a pair of 73 rounds along with a 76 over the tournament.

Lucas Kuiper, in his Conq debut, had the second-best finish for the team as he tied for 63rd with a 233 score. He posted rounds of 80, 79, and 74. 

Both Prakrit Jumpla and Aidan Robinson each shot 235 for the tournament to tie for 71st place. Jumpla posted rounds of 77, 79, and 79, while Robinson carded rounds of 80, 79, and 76. 

A score of 237 earned Panyapat Khantiyoo an 81st-place finish as he shot rounds of 73, 82, and 82. Jacob Egan and Blake Strong both finished tied for 87th with a score of 242, as Egan posted rounds of 78, 82, and 82, while Strong carded rounds of 82, 82, and 78. 

The spring season continues for the Conqs on March 30th-31st when they compete at the Sam Proal Invitational hosted by Colorado State University – Pueblo in Pueblo, Colorado.
