Women's Basketball Ranked #9 in Final NJCAA DI Rankings

Dodge City women's basketball heads into the final game of the regular season and postseason play ranked #9 in the final NJCAA Division I rankings of the regular season. 
 
The Conquistadors are 24-4 on the season and 19-4 in the KJCCC on the season, with one game remaining in the regular season. The #9 ranking marks 27 consecutive polls ranked in the Top 10 for the Conqs, with a record of being ranked in 57 of the last 58 polls. 
 
Offensively, the Conqs continue to be strong, averaging 76.5 points per game on 44.4% field goal percentage, which ranks 15th in the NJCAA. The three-point bucket continues to lead the charge for the Conqs as they make 12.2 threes on 34.3 attempts per game, ranking first and second, doing it on 35.5% shooting from behind the arc, which ranks fifth. Conqs have hit 341 total three-pointers on the season, with 60 more made than the second most in the NJCAA. The Conqs continue to share the ball well, averaging 19.6 assists per game, which ranks fifth in the NJCAA. 
 
On the defensive side of the ball, the Conqs are holding opponents to 56.1 points per game on 35.5% shooting and only 27.1% shooting from three-point range. Conqs are forcing opponents into 18.7 turnovers per game. 
 
The Conqs will wrap up the regular season on the road against Seward County on Wednesday, March 4th, at 6:00 pm. The Conqs will then gear up for the postseason as they will have a first-round bye in the Region 6 Tournament and then play in the quarterfinals at home on Tuesday, March 10th, at 5:30 pm.
