June 30, 2025

It was another great year on the golf course for the Dodge City women's golf team and while the team excelled on the course, they also had great success in the classroom.

Three Conquistador golfers earned All-American Scholar honors from the Women's Golf Coaches Association. Gaemphuang Ketrahong, Heewon Pak, and Sofia Axelsson were all recognized by the WGCA for All-American Scholar honors, which recognized 1,499 golfers from 403 college programs for the 2024-25 academic year.

To earn the distinction from the WGCA the student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur along with being on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season and have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.

The trio helped the Conqs finish seventh at the NJCAA Division I National Championship for the second straight year, while also winning the KJCCC, Region 6, and Plains District titles for the second straight year. All three earned All-KJCCC honors during the season, while Ketrahong finished fourth at Nationals matching the best individual finish in school history and earning her first-team NJCAA All-American honors.

The Conq women's golf team finished the 2024-25 academic year with a 3.41 team GPA.
