MD Conner Earns NJCAA DI Baseball "Player of the Week" Honors

Dodge City baseball finished out the regular season last week taking three of four against Seward County in the final KJCCC series of the season and also getting a non-conference win over McCook to go 4-1 last week. 

MD Conner had a strong week for the Conquistadors and had played well down the stretch of the season as his week earned him not only KJCCC West "Player of the Week" honors but also NJCAA Division I "Player of the Week" honors. 

Conner during the week would hit .667 with 10 hits, six doubles, eight runs scored, eight RBI, two walks, and four hit by pitches. Against McCook, Conner was 3-4 with two runs scored, an RBI, and two doubles, while his top game in the series with Seward County was game three when he went 3-3 with three runs scored, five RBI, and two doubles. On the season, Conner is batting .390 with 48 hits, 46 RBI, 26 walks, seven home runs, 16 doubles, and 43 runs scored. 

The Conqs are on the road in the opening round of the NJCAA Region 6/Plains District Playoffs as they will take on KCK in a best-of-three first-round series in Kansas City on May 7th-9th.
