After competing at the NJCAA Indoor National track and field championships,
Brenden Carter has started the outdoor season strong, posting a qualifying mark in the high jump at just the second meet for the Conquistadors. Carter with a leap of 2.05 meters (6'08.75") won the high jump at an NCAA Division II event the Midwest Classic hosted by Emporia State University and for his performance has been selected as KJCCC Outdoor Track & Field "Field Athlete of the Week."
Carter won the event by two inches and surpassed the qualifying mark for the NJCAA Outdoor National Championships. His leap of 2.05 meters currently ranks him fourth in the NJCAA only two inches off the top mark this outdoor season.Â
During the indoor season, he finished 12th with a leap of 2.04 meters (6'08.25").Â
