Dodge City rodeo team put together a Top 10 performance at the Colby Community College Rodeo in the second competition of the fall as the men's team finished tenth.
Totaling 100 points the Conquistadors finished tenth as a team at the Colby CC Rodeo as a pair of top-flight performances paced the Conqs in the action.
Damien Wood enjoyed a strong year in bull riding last season and had his first scoring performance of the 2024-25 for the Conqs finishing with a score of 75 to take second place in bull riding.
In the saddle bronc riding competition, the Conqs saw
Jeremiah Gullion finish with a score of 63 to place ninth overall. In the long round he was 6
th/7
th in the competition.
On the season the Conqs men's rodeo team sits in 11th place in the Central Plains Region standings with 150 points after two rodeos. Three Conqs are in the rankings individually, Wood being third in bull riding,
Jackson Guoan tied ninth in steer wrestling, and Gullion being 11th in saddle bronc riding.
The fall season continues for the Conqs with competition at the Southeastern Oklahoma State University Rodeo on September 26th-28th in Durant, Oklahoma.
