Conqs have Pair of Strong Performances at Ranger Rodeo

November 04, 2024

The Dodge City rodeo team traveled to Oklahoma for the third time in the fall season to wrap up the fall season competing at the Ranger Rodeo hosted by Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma.

A pair of Conquistadors put together strong performances to cap the fall season as Tavi Ford and Chestin Rohman had great showings. Ford earned a second-place finish in bull riding, while Rohman grabbed a fourth-place finish in team roping as the header.

Ford would take second with a score of 73 in bull riding as he went second in the long round of competition. Rohman finished with a time/score of 21 to place fourth overall in the team roping header, after a fifth and sixth place in the long round and third in the short round of action.

The Conqs will now gear up for spring competition as they return to action again in March of 2025 with five rodeos on the schedule. Spring action will open up at the Fort Scott Rodeo on March 7th-9th.
