Dodge City men's golf team competed at an NCAA Division I event hosted by Wichita State over three days at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton competing against some top-flight competition.
The Conquistadors finished 14th as a team with a three-round score of 912 (+48), posting rounds of 307, 298, and 307.
Leading the Conqs for the tournament was
Rhys Nicholas, who finished tied for 34th with a 221 (+5) score, posting rounds of 77, 72, and 72.
Joao Iglesias was just behind him at 222 (+6), placing tied for 41st, carding rounds of 76, 73, and 73.
Chutithep Rungpajchim finished with a score of 235, shooting rounds of 79, 76, and 80, while
Drew Heinz, who competed as an individual, finished with a score of 236, shooting rounds of 75, 81, and 80.
Jack McKie posted a 237 score, shooting rounds of 78, 77, and 82, while
Luke Shelton finished with a 238, behind rounds of 76, 80, and 82.
Two tournaments remain on the fall schedule for the Conqs as they will compete in Andover at the Newman Invite at the Terradyne Country Club on October 14th-15th for their next tournament.
