For the second straight week, the Dodge City softball team has a player earn KJCCC Division I "Player of the Week" honors as
Addison Spencer picks up the honors after helping the Conquistadors open KJCCC play 2-0. K'lee Flores earned KJCCC DI "Pitcher of the Week" last week.
The Conqs sweep Northwest Kansas Tech last week to open KJCCC play with two wins and now sit at 7-5 on the season. Spencer was a key contributor for the Conqs in the wins over the Mavericks as she was 5-7 with four RBI, five runs scored, two doubles, a walk, and two stolen bases in the two games.
In game one she was 2-3 with two runs scored, a double, two RBI, a walk, and a stolen base, she followed that up by going 3-4 in game two with three runs scored, two RBI, a double, and stolen base.
On the season Spencer has started all 12 games this season and is batting .455 with 15 hits, 10 runs scored, four doubles, 10 RBI, two stolen bases, and eight walks. She had recorded a hit in nine of the teams 12 games played with a five-game hitting streak.
The Conqs continue their season with their second KJCCC series of the season as they host Garden City on Wednesday, March 1st for a doubleheader starting at 1:00 pm and then will play Seward County on Saturday, March 4th in a doubleheader starting at 12:00 pm.
