Off to a great start as the Dodge City baseball team opened the 2022 season winning all four games in a home weekend set with two wins over Highland and two over McCook.
Several Conquistadors put together strong first weekends of action and the performance of
Aidan Proctor stood out so much that he earned KJCCC "Player of the Week" honors.
Proctor played in three of the four games for the Conqs and was 8-10 at the plate with three triples, a double, five runs scored, two RBI, a walk, and stolen base.
Against Highland, in two games he had three hits, two runs scored, and a walk. While in the final game of the weekend he was a perfect 5-5 at the plate against McCook finishing with three runs scored, a double, three triples, two RBI, and stolen base.
The season continues for the next three weekends for the Conqs as they will travel to Texas for non-conference action starting with a three-game series with Weatherford on Friday and Saturday, February 17th and 18th.
