Box Score Dodge City Community College was not able to end their losing streak as they were unable to complete the comeback against Colby Community College, falling 70-62 for their seventh straight defeat.

This game started out fast for DC3, as they took an early 3-0 lead. After that, the game started to slow and both teams struggled to score until Colby was able to go on a 9-0 run to make the score 9-3 at the first timeout with 15:15 on the clock. Out of the timeout, the Trojans put a full court press on which the Conquistadors broke for a layup. Immediately after that Colby Community College was able to go on another 6-0 run leading to a timeout from Coach Steve Tucker for Dodge. At this point there was 12:36 on the clock and Colby Community College already had a 15-5 lead. The remainder of the first half constituted back and forth mini-runs from both teams. Going into the locker room for halftime, Dodge City found itself down by 10, 33-23.

To start the second half the Conqs went on a quick 4-0 run to cut Colby's lead down to 6 points. Some sloppy play and a fast-break layup ended the run for Dodge City. On the ensuing offensive possession, DC3 was called for an illegal screen, which allowed for two more points from the Trojans. Going into the first timeout of the second half Colby was on a 6-0 run to expand the lead to 12 at 39-27. At 39-30, Colby went on another 8-0 run to expand the lead to the largest of the game at 17 points. Over the next couple of minutes, the deficit would stay around 17 points. The proceeding several minutes would see Dodge City fight and claw to reduce the deficit to 6 points after going on a 12-3 run. Dodge City was never able to get any closer as their offense stalled out and they fell 70-62.

Jyrus Freels led the Conqs with 26 points on 10-18 shooting. He also had a double double, adding 13 rebounds and pitching in 4 blocks.
