The first half started out eventful with
Justice Dixon hitting a 3 to start it off for the Conquistadors. Immediately after that Garden City would go on an 8-0 run sparked by Jamir Thomas hitting 2 baskets in a row. It wasn't until 14:17 that the Conqs would be able to score to end the run. Down 13-7, Dodge City would go on a 5-0 run to cut the lead to just one point. Trailing 19-14, the Conqs would go on another run, this time 6-0, getting the lead back for the first time since it was 3-2. DC3 would maintain the 20-19 lead into the media timeout. Out of the timeout, Jakobi Pearson and Russhard Cruickshank would lead the Broncbusters to an 8-0 run making it 27-20.
Jyrus Freels would end the run by hitting a jumper. The next few minutes would be back and forth until DC3 went on a 5-0 run down 35-27. The run capped by a traditional 3-point play by
Kevin Howard would cut the Broncbuster lead to 35-32. Garden City would close the first half by outscoring Dodge 8-5 and go into halftime with a 43-37 lead.

In the first half, Dodge City shot 6-9 from 3-point range but just 41.6% from the field, and was only able to get to the free throw line one time.

The second half would start out well for the Conqs. A pair of runs, first 5-0, and then 6-0 would allow them to even up the game at 48 with 18:05 remaining. Dodge City was able to keep pace until the 13:38 mark. Up 2, the Broncbusters would increase their lead with a key 10-0 run. At the 10:59 mark they led 67-55 before DC3 was finally able to end the run. Over the next 5 minutes, Garden City would outscore the Conqs 12-7, opening up a 15-point lead with just under 5 minutes remaining in the contest. 7-0, and 6-0 runs in the final minutes would allow for Garden City to come away victorious with a 22-point, 96-74 victory.

The second half saw Dodge City cool off from 3, shooting just 30% from there. They shot 42.9% from the field and only got to the free throw line 9 times in the contest.

Laurence Bryant had one of the best games of his career to date, scoring 17 points on 7-11 shooting.

Dodge City Community College comes back to play its final game of the season at the dome on Wednesday night against Pratt Community College.
