Fast Break
- After a tough month of January, the Conqs finished strong and have had won four straight games prior to losing Saturday night at Barton Community College.
- Dodge City split their two games last week, first defeating Colby Community College 67-52 before going into a buzz saw at Barton.
- The game against Colby was never really in doubt as the Conqs raced out to a 9-0 lead and 16-5 lead at the end of the first quarter. They were able to continue to keep the Trojans at arm's length throughout the remainder of the contest.
- Ashia Pool and Fredrionna Adams both played well in the contest scoring, 12 points apiece and combining to shoot 73% from the field.
- Against Barton it was a different story. The Cougars came out with a lot of energy that the Conqs were never able to match. The Conquistadors were dominated in this contest through the first 3 quarters. A strong 4th quarter was only able to make the score look better than it really was in the 73-61 loss.
