Conquistadors Open Conference Play Wednesday Night

The always tough Jayhawk (KJCCC) Conference play kicks off tomorrow night here at the Student Activity Center in Dodge City. The Conquistador Women and Men welcome the Pirates of Independence Community College to The Dome for the first of many conference games this season. The Conquistador Women (5-2) welcome the Lady Pirates (2-4) to The Dome for the first game of the night for a 5:30PM tip off.

The Conquistador Women are scoring 71.7 points per game, shooting 43% FG, and 28% from the 3PT line. The Lady Pirates come in to tomorrow contest scoring 65.3 points per game, shooting 45% FG, and 33% from 3PT. After the women battle it out, the Conquistador Men (7-0) face a tough challenge in the Pirate Men (8-1) who in their eight wins so far have beaten Hill College (TX) twice, McLennan (TX), Marshalltown (IA) and MSU-West Plains (MO) twice. The Pirate Men come in to Wednesday night game scoring 87.6 points per game, 48.4% from the field, and 35.9% from beyond the 3PT line. The Conquistador Men are scoring 108.6 points per game, 51% from FG range, and 40% from the 3PT line. T

Both Conquistador teams look to enter conference play continuing their hot starts to the 2019-20 season against Independence Wednesday night inside the Student Activity Center.
